1.)go to your /etc/fstab and
change your /media/ipod or /mnt/ipod mount pointline to that
/dev/sda2 ...

in the edit/preferences what do u specify as path to notes/calendar/contacts if u want to synchronize between kontact and the ipod through gtkpod?
e.g. for notes i tried

i did a complete new install following the instructions above and still the first thing it says is: did not import the existing db..
first i thought its because maybe the gtkpod (and its automatic...

which menu would i have to choose in kde?

99.4 ( the newest); in synaptic there appears the older version only, thats why i cannot make it be removed trough synaptic.

actually i had everyhing ( maybe apart from libexpat1-dev), but if i want to make sure and have a proper clean install, how would i remove gtkpod?

but they dont support playlists and covers right?
well if i dont have that why not use amarok? by far simplest and easiest solution.

yes, but then it returns that it created alle directories except /mnt/ipod/calendars;
and it has no effect to my prob above, e.g. still the non existing db message appears;

i simply do not understand right now how
i can create the db; do i have to format the ipod in windows itunes and then how would i create/export the itunesdb to ubuntu??
