  2. Re: Update/upgrade removes hundreds of packages?

I have decided to leave this alone at the moment!
The one hard-metal install of Xubuntu I have which I installed a long time ago was messed up in those upgrades yesterday and I can't get back I need...

  4. Re: Update/upgrade removes hundreds of packages?

Thank you for that information; it sounds as ifvi probably will not be the only one who has suffered!

Perhaps stupidly I have been using commands
    sudo apt update
    sudo apt full-upgrade
on my VMs of Xubuntu Noble most of the time since I started testing this new LTS.

All had been OK until today...

I realised after saying I would report back on this that I had already deleted the VM of Xubuntu that had this problem.
Its successor installed this evening, 28 March from an iso also dated 28...

    Re: Glitch instalation

"Screen glitch" is not enough detail to know what the problem is.

Give us as much information as you can or we can only guess what's going on.

  14. Re: Very slow zsync for updating dev ISOs.

I run zsync in terminal just like you, though I didn't realise there is any other way to use it, and I get exactly the same type of output as you with lots of auto-reconnections which didn't happen...

  16. [server] Re: Installation fails with "Kernel panic - not syncing: No working init found." erro

It is a possibility but the testing versions of 24.04 have not been problem free so j would suggest not yet using it as your one and only install just yet unless you are skilled enough to figure out...

You must install a fully supported version so try again with 22.04...

  23. Re: Why Didn't Firefox Automatically Update (New User Question)
