I want one now!!
I will never understand what all the fuss is with ATI. I've used both an ATI 4670HD and now a 4250HD in my laptop. The restricted drivers work great. I have awesome 3D and 2D performance. Hy HD...
You made me lol.:P
I switched over to KDE 4.6.2. Best move I ever made. KDE has come a long way. I really didn't hate the Unity interface, it just wasn't for me. Thank God for choices,
BTW, yes, Linux Mint is...
You forgot the most important part, tons of bug fixes. And as of now the most noticeable difference will be the fact the there is no Unity or Gnome Shell, but they have gone to Gnome 3. So, I guess...
I like Mint better. Ubuntu is good, don't get me wrong, but a lot of work goes into de-bugging before the final Mint release. As for configuring, you get all the same options as in Ubuntu. Your...
LoL, so we should stick with the driver provided in additional drivers. Hmmm, no wonder I've never had a problem :) Plus, I get all the effects I want with no lag :)
On this note, I wish they would hurry and release as a download, but here is the real question. Why doesn't Gnome support multi-gestures on the touch pad without 3rd party software that has to be...
Never had either of these problems, and I've been using AMD/ATI for years.
Also, have you checked to make sure it was a good burn? If you have ever had Ubuntu 10.10 installed on your PC, then it shouldn't be a graphics card problem. Also, if you are getting a black...

Yes, there is an additional drivers in Linux Mint 10. All you have to do is open additional drivers and it will find the driver for your card. Activate then restart X or reboot. If your using...
15 First post in a looonngggg time :)
Win7 is actually a nice OS. Like it or not, it's as good as any Linux based OS I've used. I currently use Ubuntu and Win7. They are both great in their own ways. ATI drivers still work better in...
Thank God for this. An update just borked my video before reading this. All is better now.
Thanks again everyone :)
Thanks all :)
Just something I wanted to share...

It looks nice. What GTK is that? It looks like Gloss Black.
That's not very nice.
I have to ask, have you installed libdvd yet?
If your looking for any 3D gaming you will be disappointed with that setup. A PCI video card would have terrible frame rates.
It's a great distro. The best thing I can say to do is try it. If you like it, keep it. If not, then ditch it.
Call me biased, but I like Seven Redo.
