yes i already am doing this: the results are indeed
sudo updatedb
locate flashplayer.so
/usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/libflashplayer.so
still nothing. using flash 10, flash just shows up...
1. yes, found other libflashplayer.so files, removed them by hand, 3 files, two in ~/.mozilla/plugins/ and ~/.flock/plugins/
and one under /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree

sorry, no luck :( firefox now reports flashplugin as uninstalled; here is the log:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall flashplugin-nonfree

No luck, following post #472 i could not get sound to work without installing libflashsupport.
without it, when i check the Pulseaudio devices tab, the youtube video sound source keeps toggling on...
