    @monkman: I'm using Edgy on all my machines hence I can't vouch for Dapper. There might be an issue with MP4Box in Dapper missing the "-add" switch. Maybe someone using Dapper could verify?

    In any case use -oac copy instead of -nosound during the video encode. No sync issues for me. I remember once having solved audio sync probs by changing audio from sdl to alsa in the mplayer config...

    @encho: I've given up on standalone players and only use Linux boxes for video playback. So, this guide mainly aims on best quality (imho) combined with a convenient container which handles vobsubs....
