    It works again!
    After a month or so I tried a fresh install again and got it right. It was probably just a bug which they fixed. Thanks nevertheless for your efforts!

    So guys, thanks for all of your suggestions, but sadly none of them has worked. Any other ideas related to this? It still is a problem, the booting time hasn't improved :(

    10s sounds GREAT, but unfortunately my Ubuntu ,,get's me there'' in 70s... My problem likely is not distribution specific, it has to do with f.e. (as someone mentioned in this thread) the wireless...
