Well, it's running, but it won't access WPA... which is what confuses me. It works fine when I set my router to unsecured though.
Right now I've hidden the SSID and limited access by MAc...
I've always used phpBB, it's simple and it works.
The driver should work, since on windows it worked fine, so it's not a new adapter.
I'll try the above instructions later tonight.
What other problems could it be? maybe it's the default...
Thing is, I don't believe Intel makes a USB wireless adapter, or does it? Plus, I got this adapter for free anyway, and it's worked fine under windows for at least a year or 2 now.
Anyone? I'm running a WG111v2 adapter and a WGR614v6 router.
That's what I've been doing... I've been using the generic guide for ndiswrapper... but it still doesn't work for the USB adapter. It works fine for integrated wireless on the laptop, but that's not...
I suppose, and it's nice that intel wireless seems to be working out of the box. Sadly, I've never had a single good experience with Linux wireless.
More importantly, it seems like no one has a...
Wordpress is the best out there, but if that's still a little too technical, you could use blogger... which is a lot simpler to set up and maintain.
What is it with linux and not being able to use wireless correctly? Almost everything else is plug and play, but when it comes to wireless connections I have to go through ndiswrapper and all these...
Okay, so I have a Netgear WG111v2 USB wireless adapter for one of my desktops, and I recently installed ubuntu on it. I did the ndiswrapper method for the Dell 1390 except I changed around driver...
It doesn't work at all for me. Thing is, I can get it up running ndiswrapper and the netgear drivers, but then it won't connect to my router running WPA-PSK encryption. It connects fine to an...
I know 8.04 is supposed to natively support this card, but it doesn't really work for me; it sees networks, but rarely connects or when it does it doesn't load websites very well. Has anyone put...
Yeah, technically everything works great with Linux, except for wireless and video cards.
I did for a while, but then I realized I never really talked to them or talked about them enough to warrant a name.
But for the longest time my desktop was "command center" and my laptop was...
Troll!
On the other hand, yeah we all tend to advertise for it... so I guess we're paying them back that way?
I haven't been able to completely switch over to Linux yet. College demands too many programs that may require Windows. So I just get the best technology for the buck, and then configure both OSes...
I'd like to see a reprint of that... or at the very least a re-release.
On the other hand... can someone else confirmed that the pricing for some of the merchandise rose overnight? Or am I just...
Long story short... Evolution should just stop being implemented.
Why is Evolution implemented instead of Thunderbird?
Yeah, I was really looking forward to a new theme.
But I guess the new wallpaper is much nicer than the last "stripes/waves" one or the elephant skin one.
I like the design, I wish they made a few more, and actually said ubuntu on it. Why buy an ubuntu shirt if the average person will think you're an idiot with a bird shirt on?
I use thunder bird, and that's the end of that.
Maybe. I'd rather purchase a t-shirt or bag if it ever gets more reasonable and affordable.
Because ads are always annoying, and also you'd have to think... mostpeople who use this forum are also the kind of people who pimp out their browsers with noscript and adblock. ;)
Not really...
