Re: HOWTO Fix A Buggy DSDT File

The thing that confuses me the most about this is that it wasn't an issue until the 2.6.27 kernel. Why? If the DSDT is buggy...why did pre-2.6.27 kernels work fine?

Re: Getting a Windows 7-like taskbar in Ubuntu

Yes, Windows 3.1 did not have a dock or taskbar but when windows were minimized they went to the bottom of the screen where currently taskbars and docks reside. It had the same 'basic' functionality.

I like it. Looks like a lot of work to get it that way though. One thing I lack is the ability to get my desktop ever looking that good :|

Re: Is it just me? Forums messing up...

Other than the forums working really slow, I can not use the Search function. After a long period of waiting, I eventually get a blank page. It has not worked since the Intrepid release.

  14. Re: Cloud computing. Sseesh, wil Microsoft NEVER learn? (Microsoft Azure)

Hmm, I suppose that could be a point of view. I have used every Windows release since 3.1 and TO ME, Vista is better than it's predecessors. That's only my little opinion though. Out of curiosity...
  15. Re: Cloud computing. Sseesh, wil Microsoft NEVER learn? (Microsoft Azure)

Although I am not sold on 'cloud computing' I don't see that Vista is a failure. If you have spent any time with Vista (work, produced, used) then I can not see how it can be called a failure. I...

    Out of curiosity, why...
