Once again the wifi broke with the new update. I think its time to get a permanent solution to this problem and use the 12.04 driver.

Removed WICD, installed NM. On reboot the wireless is working.

Lets leave it at that until it messes up next time.

The purge command killed the wireless. Now I am on cable.
Still no wireless on WICD

The connection is working fine. The output is -

I did not compile the driver. I am having a lenovo laptop. 12.04 had been working perfectly till Jun 14.
