You could set up a cron job (sudo crontab -e) that would empty it every week or every two days-- however often you feel necessary.

I am experiencing a very curious issue in my computer lab. I believe this began after a regular apt-get update/upgrade on ubuntu 12.04.3 desktop.
I have an nfs server set up storing a hundred or so...
I am going to assume that this thread is still running since it isn't closed.
I just purchased this exact keyboard and the audio keys all work. I am currently looking around to see if I can get...
You can create your own start-up app by navigating to ~/.config/autostart/ and adding a yourscript.desktop file within. In the file, modify this code for your script and place it there, making sure...
You beat me to it. I was going to say that it was not nearly as bad as Skyline.
Yeah, I am having the same problem with 10.10 so I uninstalled apparmor. That got rid of that problem but it still hangs with

Yeah, jerk...oh well, I put 1-50.
Banned because you are prejudice towards an even number.
Do you mean opening gconf-editor as root, or what do you mean by "Monitors section"?
I was needing some assistance with a couple things (this is in 10.04):
1: When the second monitor is hooked up and running, the windows maximize over both screens instead of just the screen the...
So, now that we all know how to do this, how do you go about making it so that your windows won't be maximized over both of your monitors?
What exactly is going wrong with your .ICEauthority file?
So, the graphics and everything working with the Nvidia? You also said that you went down to karmic. There isn't too much of a difference...
1.8 GB is not actually bad for the swap. If you want to ever hibernate your computer the swap should be as big as how much RAM you have. So, I would just keep the 1.8 there. Also, you can't 'add'...
This is very possible. I would switch to Nvidia before giving up on lucid. When you get that switched use envyng in terminal to get updated drivers, and also...
Go ahead and put that line in there then. If you don't know how to use vim: hit insert to type and then esc. then :wq to exit vim.
If this doesn't work I would most definitely give it a try.
Navigate to your xorg.conf file in terminal.
vim /etc/X11/xorg.confIf you don't have vim installed
sudo aptitude install vimThen try again. Find within the file the "Device" section where it...
Exactly which graphics card do you have?
Also, if you plan on working with ubuntu/linux long term, next graphics card upgrade I would go with NVidia. Easier to work with.
It looks like you were installing the binary driver in terminal in the background? If that gives you another driver to choose from in that hardware drivers window, try it out.
System > Administration > Hardware Drivers
Can you screen shot what the window shows?
This happened on some machines here. We had to change the graphics driver. There should be two choices. Try the one you aren't using.

Wait, so is this a completely new system for you?
Ah yes. When you upgraded to 10.04 did you keep everything in your home folder?
Did you ever use the cube in karmic? You checked out all the keybindings and settings of the cube?
