I'm having this issue with 1.5.15 which won't even install on a partial upgrade I did after it uninstalled wine, saying it wasn't need anymore. I was thinking it'd be fine and I could return it back...
Oops, I do apoligize. I don't know how I posted a double. Just delete it, and I do apoligize.
Wow, nevermind on that.
Turns out when I edit the file, it is saved in the folder I described above, which is the one accessed. But there's an exact same file saved under...
I've run into this bug that I don't know how it happened, quite. I ran my installed 4.8 on Ubuntu 11.04 a few days ago, and it the Applications Menu worked fine. Then, I wanted to add an application...
Oh! It actually gets 1.3.18 just doing that. Okay... I see.
Thanks again! This is SOLVED. :P
Ah yes, you may be right. I think I did compile a custom package some time ago, but had forgotten about it. Do I go to the directory where it's installed or what?
EDIT: Oh wait, I know what to do....
Wine has been real stubborn for me. It started right around when 1.3.18 was just out, that I decided to install it. Sure thing, I just go into the terminal, add the repository and update, then...
So, does this work w/ Lucid?
EDIT: Oh, OK. This sorta stuff has got to be posted in the OP.
Eh, screw it. I'm using VGA now.
Is this just a hard question or did I word in a way that no one would understand? All I need help with really is how to inform Xorg that I have a 720p tv hooked up and how NOT to have the image going...
Also, might I add that my attempts at getting xorg.conf to work have failed. Whatever that part of the trick is that people use to reset x.
Unless I'm just doing it wrong.
This is sort of a two sided problem, so let me begin first with what I have:
*36" Dynex television (supports all Xorg settings perfectly)
*Dell Inspiron 1525 (Which is a decent laptop with HDMI...
Sorry to bring this topic out from the dead, but Jeff tunnel recently re-acquired the rights, as stated on his new company website:...
Could someone please answer this? I have a B130, but it's the same setup as stated in Hefeloce's OP, so maybe someone could help us both out?
Maybe lowering the affinity in the system monitor... maybe? I dunno either, and sorry if it's not good to resurrect posts, but I've had questions go unanswered as well, so...
When I said I tried everything, I meant it. Literally, I tried what you said, and no dice. It's a Live USB distro, by the way.
Hi, I am a Ubuntu user, though recently I've been fiddling around with live USB distros. Most of them (Linux Mint, Knoppix, etc) work fine with the internet, Though Puppy Linux, no matter how many...
Well heck, I've tried everything in the dictionary and Puppy Linux still fails to function.
I myself have not noticed any blinking, so maybe it's just a problem between Puppy and my modem?
Not that this answers your question, but I say it's better just to live w/o gnome sounds. I myself cannot stand these annoying sounds and would wish developers never to use them in the first place....
Heh, same problem here, and I too am using 9.04. Though I'm in xfce, so the problem is seemingly more elusive. Or am I going about this all wrong?
Sorry, tiresia...
Yes, I get the exact same error from the beginning... I have acquired a copy of the mac os 9 cd and have "initialized" 27.?gbs of the hard drive as "untitled". Maybe reinstalling...
Hmm, well, I don't think that what stream is suggesting will work, though I'll contact my friend and see what he says.
PS: Tiresia, I'm installing Debian, not Ubuntu. And I'm aiming for the barebone...
#-o:icon_frown:](*,)
... Nothing. I did what you said, Tiresia.
But its a 30gb hard drive... did the ppl you know who had these problems have a hard drive larger than 8GB?
