The joggler is a internet appliance - looks like a photoframe - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O2_Joggler - due to the other changes needed to get everything working on this, I couldn't be sure to...
you say no-one but there are plenty of joggler users running the 12.04 xubuntu image. It is specifically made for the joggler hardware, but I know at least one other person who has the emgd drivers...
well, emgd 1.14 for xserver 1.9 has crashed twice so far (once using mplayer vaapi and navigating ni xbmc). well tested driver!
I just built xserver 1.10 packages from the latest emgd - testing right now on xubuntu 12.04 (kernel 3.2.16)
X loads ok and 3d acceleration/compositing works. (xbmc loaded now). 3d performance...
true
3d acceleration eg - xbmc and video acceleration
I had emgd working with xserver 1.10 fine on this system minus the vaapi support. although emgd 1.10 caused some framebuffer corruption when quitting/switching to console.
emgd 1.10 with xserver...
the kernel portion builds ok on kernel 3.2 at least which isnt too bad. this comes with xserver 1.10 drivers for meego and tizen by the looks of it - but no idea of vaapi is working as it wasnt last...
emgd 1.14 is out.
http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/embedded/hwsw/software/emgd
I was using the vaapi patched one, but it seems as though I have made a mistake. Looks like emgd_drv_video for emgd 1.10 on xserver 1.10 has problems. emgd_drv_video for emgd 1.10 on xserver 1.9...
what sort of comparison/test do you want? 2d and 3d works accelerated, mplayer/xbmc work with vaapi acceleration (1920x1080 h264 plays back ok using mplayer & vaapi - cpu on device is just 1.3 ghz...
Yeh I'm afraid you will need to make your own config for that. I didn't include it as the ppa was originally designed for use with linux images on the O2 joggler (of which I already include a...
I had to tweak your script a bit to get it working on Oneiric (didn't test on natty)
mdadm needed --verbose or it didn't print the raid level.
it also returns a symlink to the md device (in the...
you could try my kernel then from http://malus.exotica.org.uk/~buzz/ubuntu/kernel/z68/
did you try the boot parameter mentioned a few posts up ?
i noticed asrock released a new firmware that changes the default gpu voltage. perhaps with that it may work better without changes anyway...
I don't know how i missed the kernel option. simpler like that. thanks.
see my earlier link to bugzilla. are you using the build in gfx ? looking at your sig i guess not. try using the intel gfx with the z68 and see how you get on. thats the issue anyway.
no freezes/crashes with the gpu? If not, then the problem could be specific to these motherboards rather than the chipset.
See the link above. I uploaded my kernel. you can download the debs and install them from a terminal with "sudo dpkg -i filename.deb"
note if you have the asrock board, you should also download...
here's my current running kernel with my changes to disable power saving. Be interested to know if it helps you also - and hopefully we can get a proper fix for this soon.
...
the z68 is a new chipset combining features of the p67 and h67. Did you mean p67 anyway ? it is not the same as that.
please see https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38492
this may be relevant for you. after disabling the gpu power saving code in the kernel, my system runs without crashes/freezes.
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38492
I shall try the precompiled binary thanks.
All my packages are at https://launchpad.net/~jools - currently working on the emgd-xorg1.9 folder (really xserver 1.9 of course).
part of...
luzadade: I see emgdui isnt built on your emgd152 ppa. I grabbed the source. to get it to build i had to fix the line EGD_PATH to EMGD_PATH in the Makefile, and change the old X11R6 include path in...
