    Re: My home-grown Jammy Desktop

    This started life as a Focal cli-only install (installed from the mini.iso). It was then upgraded to Jammy (I did it this way because I loathe the new server installer). When that was complete, I...

    Re: My home-grown Jammy Desktop

    I've tried fooling around with Arch a bit, but I guess I'm just set in my ways (I've been using dpkg/apt based distros since 2006). The package management is a total nightmare for me (YMMV).

    The "desktop 1" is the pager (desktop switcher) & the panel is tint2. Thanks for your comments, guys. I'm glad that I'm not the only one that enjoys the minimalist approach.

    My home-grown Jammy Desktop

    Hi, all! I just thought I'd drop a few screenshots of my desktop that I just finished (mostly). It's built on Jammy with slim, openbox, tint2, jgmenu, pcmanfm (managing the desktop), & other things...
  8. [SOLVED] Re: Script launched at login on MATE 1.18 randomly relaunches again and again

    I figured out the issue. Thanks for putting me on the right track. I deleted my launch script and changed the

    X-GNOME-Autostart-Delay=30

    to

    X-MATE-Autostart-Delay=30
  9. [SOLVED] Re: Script launched at login on MATE 1.18 randomly relaunches again and again

    I am currently unable to test (I'm working out of town at the moment). I'll give it a shot and report back when I'm back at home. Thank you for replying.
  10. [SOLVED] Script launched at login on MATE 1.18 randomly relaunches again and again

    As the title states this only happens with MATE 1.18. The script is as follows:

    #!/bin/bash

    sleep 30 && wbar & exit 0

    Has anyone else experienced this or have a solution? Thanks, y'all.
