    sudo apt-get install bison

Will fix that error, any other errors you get after that you're probably missing other dependencies. Also not sure if you are aware but there is a newer version of the...

  10. Re: April 2008 Desktops (Safe for work ONLY) - Please include theme details.

With 1.4 onwards right click on the tabs to select which ones to hide/show. There's an old version in the repos 1.2 or something, you can get newer versions from getdeb.

    Poll: Re: Deluge VS Transmission

I like both as well. I use Deluge on my desktop and Transmission on my laptop. I think Transmission was the right choice for Hardy default, power users can easily switch to Deluge if they want to.

  13. Re: Is there a game similar to Call of Duty 4 on Ubuntu?

You can play Cod4 with wine (although not on punkbuster servers).

Cod4 is not WW2. True Combat Elite would be kind of similar. Enemy Territory, Medal of Honor AA are WW2 games worth checking...

Re: steam games possibly coming to linux

I doubt it (or I'll believe it when I see it), they probably mean Linux servers not Linux clients.
  17. Re: Howto: Music album covers in Thunar Nautilus and everywhere!

That fixed things for me. I can confirm jayde6's problem, although it works if you supply the full path.
  18. Re: Howto: Music album covers in Thunar Nautilus and everywhere!

Ok, so it now processes all the covers, but the progress bar seems to be broken now and also it names them all 1 (--name 1) instead of 1,2,3,... Again works fine on the command line.
  19. Re: Howto: Music album covers in Thunar Nautilus and everywhere!

Same here, stops after 100 launchers with the gui, works fine on the command line.

Poll: Re: Switch Gimp for Krita?

I just marked everything Gimp related for removal and it said it would free up 42.7mb, then marked Krita for installation and it said it would take up 134mb of space.

Poll: Re: Switch Gimp for Krita?

    1) Kdelibs would need to be on the cd and as far as I know space is already tight on the cd.
    2) If you start adding in Kde apps you lose the consistent look and feel of the desktop.
    3) Gimp is fine...
