[ubuntu] Re: Software RAID CPU Usage

    Thanks.

I'll look into using LVM, but at the moment, I'm only really planning on having a single / partition, unless someone wants to convince me otherwise. But it sounds like the dual core...

Anyone here using software raid on Ubuntu Server? I'm considering using software RAID1 on an Intel Atom 330 (Dual Core 1.6GHz) and want to get an idea of how well it'll work.

Re: Do you listen to internet Radio?

I listen to Last.fm. It's especially nice right after a reformat before I've moved all my music over, as it's tailored to your tastes.

Looks nice, but I still like my Logitech Illuminated Keyboard

Backlit keys in a slim, laptop-like keyboard make me happy

cool, though I still hope they get the repo working so i don't have to manually grab upgrades

Re: Graphics card that fits Ubuntu

    I'm guessing he'll need a PCI card...

And it shouldn't take much... my work computer has a Geforce 5200, and it runs Compiz fine (and at 1600x1200)

    Re: Amarok 2.0.0 Out!

Considering it seems to be a rewrite, that's understandable... Banshee was in a similar situation with it's 1.0 release I think

    I'd suggest a Geforce 8800GT (I upgraded to one from a Geforce 6600GT)

It's a great card for the money, and it's not a giant brick, either.
