    As mod above said but you are totally safe with any HP depending on your need and price point. They are supported out of the box on Linux via HPLIP. Totally plug and play with full features.

    If its discrete nvidia, install drivers, definitely install TLP, on my old x220 I get same batt life as with Windows 7.

    lsb has been removed from Ubuntu repos. Best solution is to add trusty repos and install lsb from there and then remove the repo. I and many others have done that for Epson printers and Google Earth...
