I think that the monitor is just limited to these resolutions / refresh rates. It's a bit frustrating. Mine had defaulted to 60.02 Hz, but I'm also finding that 59.96 Hz is providing better results....
There is someone here with a similar issue, but no answers unfortunately:

Just decided to visit the Ubuntu homepage.

The title of this thread should be "Firefox4 RC RC is out!"

I don't know how sloppy the vulnerability was but Google couldn't...
I set all my fonts to 8 as the default size was waaaaay too chunky for my liking.

I rarely take off days due to illness, I think most people that do it often are probably just taking sickies and probably not genuinely ill. Throughout all of secondary school and sixth form I only...
I would've thought after deleting an account there would be a certain period where no one would be able to use that username, that way spammers would be able to come back, but not for say 2 years (or...
I've always been impressed by how fast and reliable Ubuntu Forums is, it's only now I'm noticing quite a bit of lag. Strange that it's come about so suddenly?

My integrated Intel wireless has always worked fine, ever since I first tried Ubuntu:
Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG [Golan] Network Connection (rev 02)
Though I can't use it anymore...
What!?! Linux isn't perfect? :o
Damn, I shouldn't have eaten all those toothpaste sandwiches. :(
Yes, thankyou! This was exactly the kind of thing I was looking for.
Linux is so old
I remember my brother bought a recordable DVD drive a while back, we went to PC World and he wasn't sure whether to get DVD-R or DVD+R, we ended up getting DVD-R as it seemed the more likely one to...
My dad's notebook is dying, it's an HP Pavilion ZD8000 laptop with a 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 processor, the screen is dying (vertical lines appearing) and I'm wondering whether it's worth replacing the...
Rum I've gotten into quite recently, it goes with anything. You can have it with hot milk, tea, coffee, herbal drinks, on its own or with ice and its good for sticking in food as well (spagboles and...
I probably waste a couple of minutes on it each day, just quickly scan my news feed and a few sarcastic replies here and there, and I'm done! I've never really got into the more inane side of...
