It's up to you.
You can call your distro what you like if it's free software (that's your freedom) - if we forget about freedom, then you might have a problem with being at liberty to call it what...
I definitely think a GNU/Lloydux distro, made by a group of Lloyd's is in is in order, lols... :-)
Lloyd
Hi there Linuxforall,
Did you include a lower+uppercase character, number and a non-alphanumeric character? I know, it's a bit like trying to get into DARPA :-)
Hi MasterNetra,
That's a good suggestion/s :-) Will do shortly... if you have any more, don't be shy! :-))
):P
I like that *giggles* :P
Ours do (use GNU/Linux)!
So Ms Monster, do you think you're correct in your assumption? Or, maybe you could ask and... I'd tell you? I mean, if you wanted to learn why I asked the question? :-))
That was really the point, lol.. I'm not sure it makes it 'invalid'??
And, of note, 'Free Software' was capitalised ;-)
Lols, thanks for the heads up! I'll try to keep my head downs if bytes start flying around, *smiles* :-))
Nice to meet you, llawwehttam *shakes hand* :-)
Actually, it's not. 'Freeware' and 'Free Software' are two completely different things, along with 'Open Source' - which was the interesting thing.
A lot of people see the word 'Free' as being in...
Sorry, no :( 'Free Software' is the correct term for what you went on to mention:
Very true!
I'm down with that! :-)))
Sorry, Raddi... Free Software != Freeware :(
Do you think it comes up regularly because it's not obvious in distro's like Ubuntu - ie. as it's not called GNU/Linux and contains proprietary elements? I mean, if the majority of users knew, it...
Me too!
Lloyd Hardy MSc [IT] *winks*
Well we might have a PhD from MIT popping in from time to time :-)
10 Computers:
1. GNU/Linux
2. GNU/Linux
3. GNU/Linux
4. GNU/Linux
5. GNU/Linux
6. GNU/Linux
7. GNU/Linux
8. GNU/Linux
Er, you could say that - why the sigh earlier?
Go you Alexan! This is how we learned to get here in the first place - just don't want to forget that for the future, eh? *proud nods* ;-)
I'm afraid that's wrong, Alexan :(
Hehe, you sure do ;-)
Well, it's just your comment seemed - unusual - if you do?
Do you know the difference, Phrea? :-)
Hi All,
I'd like to know how you first learned to use Ubuntu (depending on your skill level with GNU/Linux, that could mean a lot of things)...
...but how did you get to where you are today?...
