I carried out a software update last night (186MB) and forgive me if wrong as didn't have a lot of time to leave it, but the resolution may be fixed following the updates?

Tried out 32bit 12.04 and using default drivers for my Nvidia 6600 (non free give black screen) the resolution should be 1650 but after the power saving kicks in this drops to I guess 1024 or worse....

Go to startup applications and use the command "ggl-gtk" which will auto-start for you :)

Would also like to report two separate 10.10 fresh installations not properly suspending/hibernating (PC stays on and monitor has blank screen). Only recover by hard reboot.
Powermanagement installed for me too on two different pcs and still no hibernate/sleep.
Annoying given that Windows 7 works flawlessly and in this day and age, saving power is not just a nice...
Can't hibernate/suspend either - just get blank screen and have to reboot.

I have 8.04 and although the Runescape web page loads, as soon as I click 'play' the browser closes in Firefox.
nlite is a very good slipstreaming tool btw.

Were you able to read NTFS filesystems before on your Ubuntu box?

I had problems with a Edimx 7318UG (I think) until it went faulty. In the end I configured the network interfaces file manually. Obtained driver from this site.
