    Spoke too soon. Still the same problem. I find if I switch between another screen for a few mins on a KVM vga switcher and go back the low resolution problem is back.

    Is there any fix or a bug...

    Tried out 32bit 12.04 and using default drivers for my Nvidia 6600 (non free give black screen) the resolution should be 1650 but after the power saving kicks in this drops to I guess 1024 or worse....

    Go to startup applications and use the command "ggl-gtk" which will auto-start for you :)

    Would also like to report two separate 10.10 fresh installations not properly suspending/hibernating (PC stays on and monitor has blank screen). Only recover by hard reboot.

    I had problems with a Edimx 7318UG (I think) until it went faulty. In the end I configured the network interfaces file manually. Obtained driver from this site.

    I had problems with ralink wireless adaptor too and Network Manager didn't work correctly so manually configured the network interfaces file.
