Sorry, I'm still a little confused here. What operating systems do you currently have installed? Ubuntu, Vista, and 7? Or did you remove Vista when you installed 7?
Would you mind posting the output of "sudo fdisk -l" (without quotes, and that is a lowercase L), if you are in Ubuntu right now, that is.

It's the "Super Key" in Ubuntu. System>Preferences>Keyboard Shortcuts will let you map keys.
The best option that I know of is NVU. Give it a try, let me know what you think of it.
