    Re: First Computer you had

Yep, we were fortunate to get a PET at school. And then came the C-64 and blew them all away. 64K RAM? What would we do with all that!

    LOAD"*",8,1
    RUN

  12. Poll: Re: Which one yous prefer: Dapper or Edgy/Feisty login/logout sounds?

The only startup sound I've ever enjoyed is on the latest PCLinuxOS when logging on as root - a snippet from "Oh Yeah" by Yello.... pure class 8-)

Those of us from the 80's remember that one...

  15. Poll: Re: Who actually uses LTS? Do we need LTS? Does LTS need updates?

Actually I have one of each version on different systems going back to Hoary. The oldest system is a little 500 Mhz 'Frankenbox' which started with Warty in 2004 and was upgraded to Hoary two years...
  16. Re: Has Ubuntu Linux overtaken Mac OS X as Google Trends’ runner-up to Windows?

Hmm... looks like actual facts obliterated Google Trends, heh.

    Must be true then ...
  17. Re: Has Ubuntu Linux overtaken Mac OS X as Google Trends’ runner-up to Windows?

In that case, maybe ubuntu vs. os x ?

ubuntu vs. debian is interesting, if not a little worrying. :-k
