    Have you seen GnomeArtNG? It uses mono, and it seems like it's a bit similar to your project. Maybe the two of you could work on this together.

    I'm not sure about the plugin system. I don't have any experience with C++. Have you tried asking on any of the GNOME or gtkmm mailing lists?
