    [ubuntu] Re: Eclipse cdt?

Yep, they removed the package because it isn't updated. Good news is you can still get CDT installed.

    Open Eclipse

    Re: Ubuntu, AppCenter and Packagekit.

Hey Slug71, good work on starting a productive dialogue between the Pk-devs and the SoftwareCenter guys. Being a liaison between software projects is a great idea!

Re: tintwizard - tint2 config generator

wow that looks pretty sweet. I think a lot of people would like to see a package for this in ArchLinux :p
  8. Re: Boot an existing XP (Physical HD) install with VirtualBox

:KS Updated tutorial to include the possible "disk read error" workarounds noted by ciucca and borikru. Thank you.
  9. Re: Boot an existing XP (Physical HD) install with VirtualBox

Note the links to the Vista How-to's at the top of the Tutorial.
  10. [ubuntu] Re: Need some help... My mic wont turn off

    1. open a terminal and open up alsamixer with 2. press tab to swich to capture mode
    3. go to the capture switches and press spacebar on the switches which have the text "L-R-Capture" to disable them
  11. Re: Boot an existing XP (Physical HD) install with VirtualBox

Do you still have the error when completely removing the "-boot-load-size 4" option? It's really for compatibility with old machines. I'll probably remove it from this tutorial - since old machines...

  15. [all variants] Re: Boot an existing Vista (Physical HD) install with VirtualBox

I was going to attempt the method shown here for bypassing activation, but lost the will
I've also got to study for finals - so whoever wants to try it, be my guest =P
  16. Re: Boot an existing XP (Physical HD) install with VirtualBox

    @waydownsouth

That's great news! Does it work after successive reboots? And how long has it been since you've used this method? Windows will generally whine after three days or after a couple...
  17. [all variants] Re: Boot an existing Vista (Physical HD) install with VirtualBox

No dice. You'll have to reactivate it everytime you switch back and forth. I'm actually about to work on a solution to this problem and I'll probably figure out if it's plausible by this weekend.
  18. [ubuntu] Re: Virtual Box on an 8.10 install with an EXISTING version of XP

Glad to hear it works. It looks like I'll have to mention the removal of "savedefault" in the tutorial. Don't forget to mark this thread as solved btw! :)

[all variants] Re: Question to wildcards

I am not sure, but locales aren't the problem - I'm in the US, and have the same "problem" as you do. I put problem in quotes, because after running: ls [A-Z] in a directory containing a file "c," c...

  23. [ubuntu] Re: Virtual Box on an 8.10 install with an EXISTING version of XP

There is a hyperlink on the word, "Configure" that leads to instructions on how to do so. I do not understand your last question, however it looks like the answer to it might be in Step 5.
  24. [ubuntu] Re: Virtualizing an existing Windows installation

Hmm, that's odd. It probably doesn't matter the VM, but unless this method is reconfirmed to work with VirtualBox, more than once, I don't think I'll go through the trouble of re-including it into...
  25. [ubuntu] Re: Virtualizing an existing Windows installation

Are you using SP3? I actually used that howto to make mine initially, but since it stopped working after SP3, I decided to remove it. If you look at the bottom of the wordpress page, you'll see...
