My current computer is an i7 with 12g ram and a 2 tb hd. It was built in november of 2011. The ones sitting around ( not sure why I keep them) range from a 1978 (?) TRS-80 ( the hd is a cassete...

Hello,
This might be a shot in the dark but...for the uri put in usb://Panasonic/KX-P1124. Not sure how the conversion from parallel will change things though.
Hello,
I am not sure how you set up your disc partition's which could be a problem if you already have four set. I think you might have a problem with an install of win95 because it most likely...
Hello,
I have a feeling that your original question was how do you restore from a backup made with deja dup but it was lost in all the other stuff. I do not have the answer but if those who do...

I had to go back to 11.04 because in 11.10 I could not get my sound to work. It works fine in ll.04
Hello,
First a quick question...are you going to be installing Ubuntu to your Windows drive? It seems you have four partitons already.
Well I am glad it does not effect anything...pretty sure that deciding if you should install updates now or later might have something to do with other than just drive space. Come to think of it I...
Hello,
What I had to do was play with the install updates and install third party. If one did not work then I would uncheck it and go with another. I think (not sure though) that I chose install...
Hello,
I would use the additional drivers. I would not use the post update drivers but the one below that. You must choose the activate button.
Hello,
Does your new drive have anything on it? Windows might have partitioned it but not installed anything. If a partition is empty you can make it unallocated from windows disk utility and...
Hello,
As I must be a glutton for punishment I decided to try another install of 11.10 and spent the last day searching and trying different things but no luck.
Just as an aside...Youtube...
Hello,
Before you go any further you need to determine if this is a Wubi install or a regular install. You seem to say that you installed Ubuntu through XP which sounds like a Wubi install. ...
Something has to work because as deaf as I am, I am pretty sure that I am hearing something that sounds pretty good out of my speakers. (not titanium though) and not 11.10. I just think that there...
Sorry for the double post
Hello all,
I have a Creative SB X-fi Xtreme PCIE sound card which works perfectly in 11.04. I have very very, very, very, choppy sound with any version of 11.10. I would like to at least try (with...
