Hi, don't use the ffmpeg DV encoder, it won't work. That plugin is broken, there's nothing pitivi can do about it, you should probably report a bug in gstreamer.

Developers don't read forums. What you are seeing is a bug and you should file bug reports instead of posting on forums, so that your issue can be investigated properly.

Select the clip, unlink (or ungroup?), then the audio is separated from the video and you can replace it by something else.
