    Just run:

    sudo gedit /etc/asound.conf
    and the file will be created. No need to worry, the default is to not have one. If you don't have gedit, try a different editor such as nano.

    I've tried that, but it seems very unstable. The only thing i've been able to get to work is Ultimate Doom for windows, and it only has sound about 1 out of 10 times I try it. And I did use padsp.
