can i set eth0 to ipv4 then? sorry im a complete newbie when it comes to networks

Ye sorry, the 127.0.0.1 appears on the Local loopback;

On eth0:

how do i check if eth0 is set up in...

ifconfig returns the same.
says my inet is 127.0.0.1
