i'm actually having the same problem (kind of)
when i boot it automatically goes to the grub after about 30 seconds of blank screen...
i don't mind the wait because...
i had the same problem trying to boot into windows through refit on my macbook with windows, os x and ubuntu installed..
i read a thread somewhere that states that the bootloader can only handle 4...

Yes.. this is possible... I did it back last year when I had mine dual booted with X and Ubuntu 9.04.

anyone else also get Nternet spiking really hard??? ping all over the place... like 80-300-65-250-125-40... tried resetting router... restarting computer.....
lots on www.addictinggames.com.. most are turn based... like battle tanks and stuff
same thing happened to me when i made the upgrade too
something to do with the Fkeys associated with screen brightness adjustment
and buggs in the platform
may be asking for too much from maverick or maybe your computer with mav's settings...
i'm running mav on my mb51 flawlessly... every single thing works... well still waiting on the dual-tap/drag...
