Found my partions and external devices by opening Nautilus and selecting the "GO" menu item and then "Computer". Everthing then showed up in the right panel. I miss the Places...

Disabled "EDS Contact Integration" extention.

When I boot to GNOME Classic, I get four blank upper taskbars (pic attached).
There is no obvious (to me) way to delete them.

Unity Desktop works fine - just happens in Gnome desktop.

Tried to do in from alternate 11.04 cd as well. It starts then quits on the first stage (just disappears).

Can you be more specific about what you want to do with the Database?

The simplest for you to start might be the one included in LibreOffice (or OpenOffice). Use the Database Wizard and the help...

I have already tried to disable WiMax in the BIOS (unavailable) and did find and blacklist the 'wimax' module in blacklist.conf.
It still initializes and shows...

Any easy way to stop the initialization of WiMax during bootup? I don't use Wimax and it noticeably slows down the boot up process.

No problem watching netflix at home (via Wii). The MS Silverlight exclusion of any Linux prevents using the account to watch on the laptop while traveling.
