that sounds pretty much the same as my problem.. what wifi chip is in your laptop..?
you can find it by typing lspci in terminal ;)

it doesn't disconnect from the router, but one minute i have 2MB/s, the next minute it stops.. =s

I've got two problems with Suspend on my Acer Aspire One.

The first is that in Xubuntu my suspend button don't work. that is, when i select suspend from the shutdown menu, the laptop enters...

I'm running xubuntu 8.10 on an acer Aspire One, and I've got the wireless up-and-tunning with Madwifi-hal-0.10.5.something:P

The only problem is after suspend/hibernate I have to run

sudo...
