Way to be depressing, very nice post though.
OP, go Arch you won't look back. You get alot more satisfaction installing your DE/WM/etc... from the command line. You will never have to re-install...
I'm wanting to prototype a package signing program for Arch Linux, but I can't seem to find anything on Google relating to Ubuntu's package signing. (No reason for me to reinvent the wheel by...
Sorry for taking forever to reply. You mentioned that you had a "hosts.deny", so I know you have denyhosts.
Read this: http://denyhosts.sourceforge.net/faq.html#3_19 and follow the instructions. ...
I've had that error before, but it was "denyhosts" blocking me (Had to TOR/proxychains into my server)
Add the verbose command to ssh, ie "ssh -v user@domain.org" and post the output(replace and...
+1 I still like Ubuntu, just the pre-11.04 versions.

Its going to be a high-end Windows gaming rig. I'll probably put Mint on it too.
1. Ok I'm going eth0
2. Looks like I'm going to use samba/nfs
3. I'll checkout all the programs one by one,...
I will be putting Ubuntu on my home server (about to order within a week or so).
1. Good recommendation for a wifi card, or should I just go eth0?

reverse h4x
I've moved on too since Ubuntu 11.04, I even had to uninstall it off of my friends computer.
I'm recommending Mint to anybody who wants to start using Linux.
To anybody who has been...
Why don't you guys "reverse h4x0r" the guys. I'm not much of a h4x0r (I know a few things, but not much). I'm %100 sure there is a way.
They are not going to stop, its up to the people to stop...

Also, when I was doing my Arch install I accidentally "dd'ed" my HDD, completely screwed the partition...
So will this and this help me? Its not much though.
Most non-jailbroken iOS devices (iPod Touch, iPhone) are also supported with the notable exception of the iPad and the iPhone/iPod Touch 4 which are only supported as read-only devices....
Looks like it has a bunch of bad reviews. (The 64GB one)
Screw it, I'll just stay with my iPod, I'm just having trouble getting anymore music onto it (Gtkpod on Arch Linux).
Linux friendly as in either it runs Linux or operates well with Linux. My iPod is a pain, I've left Windows and gtkpod will not work for my iPod Touch 4g.
It needs to be 64GB, or either be really...

We should start a petition
It will happen, eventually. Its going to take the help of other people though. Currently I'm working on https://github.com/cgroza/wx-Youtube. I started working on this to improve my C++ skills for...
Btw I've used DBAN with the Gutmann method. It took around 3 days for it to finish. It runs your computer at full speed, so make sure it will stay cool.
