I had the same issue, this is how I solved it.
1. First, search for the dejadup monitor PID
pidof deja-dup-monitor

2. Stop dejadup monitor
sudo kill -9 <enter relevant PID here>

OK, it seems that this problem was temporary - after few reboots everything went back to normal.

You are right.
The problem is with the realtek rtl8192se wireless adapter. When disabling it - everything works fine.
