I would prefer to use the nvidia card in compatible mode - UL30VT has this option in the bios - but the trouble is that the compatible mode causes degradation in the HD - I think...

If anyone else runs into my problem, it's the BIOS. I had bios 204 flashed. An upgrade to 211 fixed the problem with no negative side effects that I have detected thus far. Thanks...

EDIT: It's the BIOS - I had an early version #204 flashed. Upgrade to 211 and it works great.

Come to think of it, my experience is really strange and goes counter to everything that i have read: With bios set to Compatibility Mode, lspci shows both cards as active. Can anyone else confirm?
