    Re: Source and Arch Linux

Still no use flags but I think with arch you have to manually go through the configure section, with gentoo the use flags are variables for that section of the build.

    That's just a file for...

VLC - Takes forever to read dvd

VLC loads the dvd in 1.5 seconds in Linux, so I'm assuming that there's maintainers at work messing up the build for windows? It does load, just takes 5 minutes. I want to know if anyone else is...

    Re: Source and Arch Linux

I've never heard of a global config file for such use flags, I think you just need to edit the configure section of the PKGBUILD and just do --enable-something command. It's how I enabled dts and...

Re: Cannot access internet with Windows 7.

Post this in the seven or eight forums, but sounds like a driver issue, does it work in Linux? If it does download the latest driver from the Linux host and install it on windows and it should work. ...

[SOLVED] Re: Better alternative to GIMP

Print has never been that great in Linux, and if you're doing prints I'd probably stay with the industry standard which is Photoshop. There's krita if you like painting. Linux to me has a long long...

    [ubuntu] Re: 13.10 Daily Build

An installer is only updated when it needs to be, and the installer has been broken for 2 released versions now.
    It's plausible but not likely.

Re: Anyone else running Openbox in 13.10?

These bugs are specific to ubuntu not to the Openbox source code itself, I'd personally recompile a .deb but it's been a decade since I've done any debian packaging.

    I've compiled it from source...

    From my experience.

    WM:
    Openbox, Xmonad, Awesome!

    Desktop:
    Cinnamon 1.8, KDE, XFCE4, Razor-qt

QT is the future, it's far more powerful than gtk and looks a lot nice when done right.
