[ubuntu] link keys to launch files

    Hi.

Is there any way I can map a single keystroke to do launch a file? For example, I want to press the "X" key and have my computer open
    /home/movies/X.avi in the default player.

    Thanks

    Re: Mythbuntu as a kiosk

I'm not much of a programmer, even simple HTML. That's why I was thinking of using mythbuntu. Keyboard access will limited to a few select keys via a keyboard encoder for use with a MAME arcade setup.

    Re: Made-For-Ubuntu Computers

Well, uh... crap. I knew there were places which sold computers made for Linux. I didn't realize there were places that had them as affordably. At this point, the price will be around $330.
