    That's a relief. I've tried Unity with a Live CD a couple of times and I don't say it's bad, but I got used to Gnome so much that it's hard to change.

    Hmm... So the new release comes only with unity? I can't choose the normal gnome desktop, or at least install it afterwards?

    The migration will be very easy. Basically, I doubt you will feel any difference. Mint is (at least) 90% Ubuntu so the transition won't be a problem.
