Here is no information about your dist, but why dont you use "apt-get build-dep glibc-devel"?...
whith fdisk you must create new partition if there is no, with mkfs.(ntfs) create new file system. Then use mount command.

1. ssh listen only localhost address or network ( look sshd.conf)
