Re: cloud-init and snap - Remove?

Good for you. I had this issue with 2 freshly installed VMs with minimal server (first thing I did was to remove cloud-init), so thought pointing it out might help somebody.

Re: cloud-init and snap - Remove?

This, I believe, can have unwanted consequences. My fresh installed minimal Ubuntu server with 22.04.1:

    [ubuntu] Static route with Netplan

    Hi!

Yes, I read the other threads on this topic, and think I have applied what was said there. But to no avail.

    Re: Understanding S.M.A.R.T. errors

Ok, so I returned the disk, got a new one elsewhere, and that other disk also immediately starts counting up Raw Read Error Rate and the other values.

I googled around and found, e.g., this:...

    [ubuntu] Re: Adaptec HBA 1000-16i

I wouldn't be too surprised about performance issues as long as it's not officially supported.

I just noticed, by the way, that prices for the Adaptec 1000-16i have gone up here. It's around 350...
  12. [SOLVED] Re: 16.04.1 upgraded server does not start network

  13. [SOLVED] Re: 16.04.1 upgraded server does not start network

    [ubuntu] Re: Adaptec HBA 1000-16i

Isn't that the same controller mentioned above? Adaptec appears to be a Microsemi brand. In any case, I couldn't find a price point through a quick Google search for Microsemi HBA 1000.

    [ubuntu] Re: Adaptec HBA 1000-16i

Yes, the LSI is pricier (I paid a bit less than 450 €), which is why I looked at the Adaptec first. But I nevertheless ultimately went with the LSI, as I did not want to play the guinea pig with my...

[ubuntu] Re: Why does 14.04 create a bridge?

[ubuntu] Why does 14.04 create a bridge?

    Hi,
