I found out a way to do it.

I created a folder called Desktop in /etc/skel/


mkdir /etc/skel/Desktop

I added my icons to the Desktop folder and it gets pulled in when the Users Desktop is...

I have typed the command:


sudo update-alternatives –config x-www-browser

There are 2 alternatives which provide `x-www-browser'.

Looks like they broke firefox with the update, then fixed it over the weekend. All should be working ok now.
