Just did updates and reinstalled Thunderbird and thunderbird trunk and all is well.
It stopped working on saucy with 3.9.0-1 kernel that was updated fully and still doesn't work with 3.9.0-2 kernel. Running from term shows error
(thunderbird:6180): GLib-GIO-ERROR **:...
I noticed that thunderbird and thunderbird-trunk stopped working. Will try to bug.
kuvanito - if your problem is installing or core dumping see http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2133148.
No saucy extras yet. Go into sources and change it back to raring for a while.
I am using the Broadcom 4313 and I too am having connection issue with 3.9. I can get it to connect sometimes by installing prop driver and then uninstalling it. Nothing consistant about it.
I have had programs that after updating will not launch from the launcher. I just unlock from the launcher. Start the program from dash or terminal and then lock the new instance to the launcher.
Just checked mine and it worked fine. HP Photosmart d110 connected wirelessly.
I am running gs and both right and left click works. Don't know what is correct.
Gnome-shell uses mutter, not compiz. Try adding gnome=tweak-tool and trying some of the settings there.
I'm in the gnome-shell users group. I usually keep a gnome-shell and a unity testing partition going, but I find gs fits my workflow better. Waiting for the update.
Just used it in a new HP g72t 4171us using a broadcom 4313 that the extra drivers didn't always work. Connection was a hit and miss affair. Now it connects immediately and solidly.

I am getting this also. It seems to be intermittant tho. Sometimes it continues to a normal boot and sometimes it hangs. Have puzzled over it but can't seem to find any reason for it. Nothing that...
Go to the Skype website and search around. There are debs for linux and linux 64 bit for install.
I wouldn't want USC running in the background for any reason. It would tax low resource machines. Secondly I have had issues with it working correctly. In Maverick when testing it didn't always...
I would rather use synaptic than Software Center. Better view of what will be installed and what problems may arise. Software Center doesn't always work and doesn't let me know why it fails.
Have you tried a different mouse? Or changing the click time and settings in Systems/Preferences/Mouse? Sometime a starting to fail hardware shows odd behaviour before really failing.
I think most of my snailmail should come preshredded. Save me time.
Try the suggestions in this post. I had to do this in Lucid but not in Maverick with the usb dongle that I use. (Slightly different version number) ...
I have kept updated and am now using nouveau again after trying nvidia-current. Wasn't able to get it to work and got back to nouveau and using Galleum. Everything works fine, except the screen...
About average for this time of year- been a really hot summer tho.
Avasys lists a driver for the OP's Epson- I can't tell if it will do him any good tho it looks like a newish page on their site.
hp Photosmart D110 all-in-one works- took almost a minute to set up, test page and scan first page in Maverick (also print from the web). Took much longer for me to set it up in Win7. About $100.00...
Sorry nrbdw55, I didn't mean to sound unfriendly or not helpful. I have asked many questions of the forums and have found help. I was suggesting that you read as much as posible about ubuntu and...
