    Re: New Voyager 13.04

I can't log in to Voyager (13.04) when booting the iso from a flash drive. I have tried various user and password combos, including blank, root, Voyager, etc.

    What is the login info?

    Can't...

[xubuntu] Re: Xubuntu- put the taskbar on the main menu

I have never seen this in Xfce (or any DE for that matter) but I think you have a great idea there!

Until somebody can help you with this, you might also want to check out Conky.

    [kubuntu] Re: Easytag Broken

Easytag seems to have been abandoned a few years ago. Until your issue is fixed, you could give Puddletag a shot. It's a great tagger and it's in the repos now.
  4. [ubuntu] Re: Typical driver release schedule and beta issues without driver support.

FWIW, I have not found anything that requires the System 76 driver on my Gazp7 with 13.04. Everything is working fine without it.

Re: Yikes! Forced to change from AT&T DSL to U-verse

I've had Uverse at two different addresses over four years. Zero problems with the equipment, initial set-up, speed or reliability. I get internet only, no TV or phone.

In fact, it's been so good...
  6. [ubuntu] Re: Thumping and whining noise in headphones when sound card is idle Panp9 + Ubuntu 1

I am having EXACTLY this issue on my gazp7 as well. My external USB sound card is OK, but if that's not connected I get static and hissing directly related to all those same actions.

    (In an...

[xfce] Re: Moving files causes Thunar to copy, not move

What happens for me is: drag a file from the desktop to a Thunar window and it makes a copy (instead of moving the file).

Drag between two non-desktop Thunar windows, works as expected (the file...

    [ubuntu] Re: Kindle Fire HD

I've been up against this with a few different Android devices. It's maddening.

If you have WiFi try using Airdroid instead of bothering with trying to get MTP to work.
  9. [ubuntu] Re: Is there a linux laptop that just works? monitor, hibernate, sleep :-(

I have the same machine, and suspend resumes perfectly 100% of the time with Gnome Shell or Xubuntu. System76 has suggested in the past that it can be fixed with kernel updates, but FWIW it really...

    Re: Live Voyager 12.04 ( Xubuntu-Xfce )

    Hope the dev is OK.

I had my PayPal contribution returned because it was unclaimed for 30 days. Sent a thank you email instead, it went through but never heard back.

    Maybe he is too busy...

[ubuntu] Re: Gazelle P7 Suspend problem

FWIW, this problem seems to go away if I suspend from gnome-shell instead of Unity.

Maybe it's complete coincidence, but I'm going to wait a few more days and see if it ever locks up using...

[all variants] Re: Amazon Instant Video no longer works in 12.04?

Yep, tried it last night on a few machines and it worked.

Agreed. And meanwhile, companies like Amazon should at the very least put hack solutions like this in an FAQ.

    [other] Re: Zareason vs System76

  22. [all variants] Re: How easy is access to RAM and the drive bay on the Pangolin and the Lemur?

Thank you for the pics. That is really helpful!

Any Pangolin owners out there who can confirm if there's similar accessibility on that model?

"...drive on the Pangolin and the Lemur? bay on" in the title should read "...drive bay on the Pangolin and the Lemur?"

I should add that I also hate the trackpad on my Dell.
  24. [all variants] How easy is access to RAM and the drive bay on the Pangolin and the Lemur?

I can't find any pictures of the undersides of the current versions of the Pangolin and the Lemur.
