Never mind, I spoke too soon. This is still an issue. I tried a PopOS live USB but my only option given was to Erase everything and install. I don't wanna do that as I wanna keep my files intact.

Don't ask me why this worked but clicking "Enable Networking" on the Grub recovery menu suddenly made my machine boot into the OS. Its been booting into the OS since then but still showing the...
Error message:
2 logical volumes in volume group data now active
What can I try here? I'm not even sure what is causing the issue.
PopOS 18.04 64bit
Found this in the Ubuntu error report tool:
Hi there,
The host is Ubuntu 17.10 64bit.
The guest is Linux Mint currently.
Virtualbox version is 5.2.8 64bit.
Doesn't run if I launch the GUI.. but only if I delete the Virtualbox config...
I don't know where to start debugging this. I just get segmentation fault(core dumped) in the terminal if I run the virtualbox by command line.
Does anyone know if its possible to generate a .ts file with Qt lupdate or lconvert with only the new untranslated strings added in or is this impossible?
Hi there,
I was like you once. I tried for years to make progress with creating my first programs with Gtk and C++. In the end I got far but I realized its too much of difficult and long process....
They have a blog post on new features in relation for this:

Would this help?
Thanks, I was trying to use QPalette which worked before for setting the background colour but not in this case. SetStylesheet worked better for me.
You should checkout Ionic. You can do your apps in your favourite little text editor with JS and prepare builds via command line. Its really cool.
Thanks, that worked great! Just having an issue setting the background colour of the QLabel now but that is a separate issue.
All I ever see is the QListWidgetItem but not the QLabel:
QLabel *label = new QLabel();
label->setText("test");
QListWidgetItem *item = new QListWidgetItem();
...
Hi all,
Spent nearly 2 hours just trying to add some QLabels to a QListWidgetItem. Only text would succeed in being added to it. No QLabel or QPushButton could be added.
Is it possible or not?
@norobro - Thanks, this is exactly what I needed. You can also use the following to get a hex which is better for storing to a settings file:
background.name()
How would I get the colour of a Label so I can store it in the settings and restore it later?
Using Qt and C++.
How would a System 76 Lemur suit your needs:
https://system76.com/laptops/lemur
Configured with a i3 processor, 250GB SSD and 8GB RAM it would be $757 or €663.83. (not sure what is your...
Gtkmm is not really for designing cross platform apps. I have developed my main project PhotoFlare with both Gtkmm and Qt. Development is so much easier with Qt I can't even begin to describe how...
I agree. I spent so long looking forward to the Unity 8 version and all I was left with was disappointment in the end. :(
I've seen people post 4-5 hours for the Galago. For the Lemur some said 4-5 hours and others said 8-9 hours. So I'm not entirely sure but some reviews online did say it comes with excellent battery...
I would still get the SSD. Speaking from my own experience I think its the best PC upgrade you can do.
I think so. I'm sure all laptop drives are the 2.5 inch size.
Have a look at this thread:

It doesn't have instructions as such but apparently its pretty easy to replace it once you unscrew the bottom of the...
Its not all that new, I have used it for 1 year and 6 months straight. Putting the fact its "new" to the side, even my phone from at least 7 years ago would at least have been able to transfer files...
I think this section is more for support issues than discussion although it might be nice to have a discussion section for System 76. That probably explains the lack of replies. I'm not really...
