I use WinXP in Virtualbox PUEL for Sendblaster (http://www.sendblaster.com), an easy-to-use and effective mass mailing program.
I couldn't find any good equivalent for Linux apart from Unimailer...

  3. [SOLVED] Re: [How-to] iPod Touch and iPhone under USB with iFuse in Karmic Koala!

Yes, now the iPod gets mounted automatically for me.

I haven't tried that yet (and I'm away from home for some days now). I'll give it a try when I'm back.
  4. [SOLVED] Re: [How-to] iPod Touch and iPhone under USB with iFuse in Karmic Koala!

    Hi there

I was able to easily mount an iPod Touch by adding the following ppa:

    https://launchpad.net/~pmcenery/+archive/ppa?field.series_filter=karmic

    Simply install everything included in...
  5. [ubuntu] Re: One or more of the mounts listed in /etc/fstab/ cannot yet be mounted (Karmic)

    Same issue here.

I did a fresh install of Karmic and now I get the "One or more of the mounts listed in /etc/fstab" message at boot.

    Hi Yezinki,

It happened to me as well after one of the latest updates (I can't remember what one though).

  12. [ubuntu] Re: Keyboard stops working with Opera 9.5 (64-bit)

    Problem solved...

I just deleted the .opera folder in Home and flash started working again in Opera.

forestpixie, again thanks for all your support! :)
  13. [ubuntu] Re: Keyboard stops working with Opera 9.5 (64-bit)

    Thanks forestpixie

    I've already formatted/reinstalled last night...

Now Opera works, the only strange thing is that I can't get flash to run properly with Opera.

    The flash-nonfree plugin...
  14. [ubuntu] Re: Keyboard stops working with Opera 9.5 (64-bit)

    Ouch! This hurts...

Formatting and reinstalling the OS just because 1 app doesn't work sounds a bit much.

Anyway, if this is the only way to go I'll start downloading Ubuntu 8.04.1 in a minute....
  15. [ubuntu] Re: Keyboard stops working with Opera 9.5 (64-bit)

    I know, it sounds crazy...

The laptop keyboard seems to "hate" opera so much that it evens stops working when opera is running.
The USB keyboard must be much more "tolerant"... hehe

    Jokes...
  16. [ubuntu] Re: Keyboard stops working with Opera 9.5 (64-bit)

I've just tried to connect an external USB keyboard to my laptop and found out that it actually works fine with opera......

It seems that only the laptop keyboard stops working when opera is...
  17. [ubuntu] Re: Weird Opera issue

Many thanks for all your help.

I've just reported my first post.
  18. [ubuntu] Re: Weird Opera issue

    Nevermind - I think I've found out
  19. [ubuntu] Re: Weird Opera issue

The "global" which I posted was in the hidden .scim folder in my home folder.

The "global" which is in /etc/scim has the following lines
  20. [ubuntu] Re: Weird Opera issue

I've attached a .zip file which includes the "config" file and 2 versions of the "global" file which I tried.
  21. [ubuntu] Re: Weird Opera issue

    With I only get

    and nothing else.

The only key which works is the power button (it actually brings up the logout/restart/sleep dialog), but it doesn't produce any text in the terminal.
  22. [ubuntu] Re: Weird Opera issue

    Thanks for all your help.

Is there a way to start opera in some kind of "safe mode"?

Just to see whether it could be something else which causes this issue (plugins, addons, etc)
  23. [ubuntu] Re: Weird Opera issue

Yes, I've restored the original files, anyway I'm still getting the following message when I launch opera from the terminal
  24. [ubuntu] Re: Weird Opera issue

Thanks. This didn't do the trick, but now I'm getting the following text when I open opera from the terminal:

The point is that there is not such a line (/DefaultConfigModule) in .scim/global
  25. [ubuntu] Re: Weird Opera issue

My /etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/scim file is exactly like yours...

Regarding the message "QInputContext: no input method context available", I've found the following link, but honestly I do not know...
