Thanks slike... I have that page open in another tab, and another tab with 9.10 64 bit SERVER version?????
Title says it all; does the download repo detect my 64 bit machine?
Edit: title DOESN'T say it all...
I'm looking for a 64 bit version to download directly, not burn a disk if I don't have to...
Yes - looks like 'Upgrade' to 9.10 can be done from only 9.04.
I need still to confirm that all partitions and GRUB loader will remain as they are now, except for 8.04/9.10 over-write...
Seems to me that it's searching for existing OS's on the 'new' partition... Will it later, during the install, find the other OS's? I bet so.
That's the message - "There were no users or operating systems suitable for importing from."
During the previous step, all OS's WERE identified (XP, FC10, 8.04).
Did I incorrectly assign the...
Thanks again there presence!
Now, I'm finding 'No accounts found' (to import personal stuff).
It's all backed up - the 8.04 stuff, but if I can directly import it in the install, that would be...
Thanks again there!
And THIS partition is my mount point? It does not say that this is NOW the case, in my current setup... ?
...
Thanks!
Which parameter do I want - ext4?, ext3, ext2, or other?
I hope to have EVERYTHING, EXACTLY as it is now, except the new install...
Memtest86 is a boot entry in boot/grub/menu.lst
Without knowing any better, I'd be guessing that it has been selected as the default boot option.
See my menu list:
Huh?
Have you read the first 8 replies? Did you try any of them? If you did, what happened? If you didn't, what is this paperweight post about?
Indulge me please on a simple question here... I want to put 9.10 on top of 8.04. Backup is done.
Which option is correct?

You should probably delete this thread, and the other one too; both make you look pretty bad................
Wrong assumption.
He saw it, and replied to it, and said he was gonna' ignore me. He didn't; rather he posted the BS again, IN THE ANTAGONISTIC MANNER.
There is NO argument against this. Trying...
I will de-compile Vista line by line before I understand your rationale.
How are you seeing that the second posting of this was not belligerent and obnoxious?
This is NOT about thread titles.
The second time this person posted this offensive post was NOTHING short of antagonization. NOTHING. It was ALREADY TOLD ITS ADVICE WAS UNNECESSARY.
AND IT'S...
I made clear to a member that I did not need its advice, which had NOTHING to do with the thread topic. It posted again, in spite of my request to not do so. The first of its posts was a violation of...
Sounds great!
I'll just use the default mount point that the system uses when I manually mount.
How do I determine what that is, to put it into the GUI?
Edit bodhi.zazen : Yikes, please do...
You said you were gonna' ignore me. Just more idle banter? Idle promise?
What is your problem dude?
/media/windows didn't work.

Yes.
An error returned; I don't remember what it was...
Promise?
(sounds too good to be true)

Yup. No problem manual mount. Click the icon; DONE/MOUNTED.
I want it to AUTO-MOUNT, and I need to know what the mount point is, that it mounts by when I manual mount.
Then I can enter that...
A tip:
Before going into the closet, digging up an old CRT and power cord and confirming that the computer DOES work with a CRT, and then plugging your new LED into second computer (to confirm...
