This worked perfectly! Thanks. If you post this solution to the following AskUbuntu question: http://askubuntu.com/questions/59328/dual-screen-flash-does-it-work I will give you credit for the proper...
Hi guys -
I'm glad you all are using my work. Unfortunately I don't really have the time to support it anymore, so this is an official "this code is now unsupported" message.. MPXF did the job...
Nice! Thanks so much :) I'm having trouble removing the top panel.. do I need to boot to GNOME3 and remove the top panel from there?
I'm now hitting a problem where my computer hangs upon shutdown; I believe is this due to my pre-disconnect script. If anyone has advice please let me know..
EDIT: It was wicd in general,...
Got it!
I ended up using wicd to run my pre[dis]connect scripts (I liked wicd better than NetworkManager anyhow, but I never got around to installing it when I got a new computer some time ago)....
Those commands work. I decided against ssh and opted instead to send my phone a text message via Perl and Email::Send::Gmail. I'll test that next. I tried using wicd instead but I'm having issues...
That's not my problem - my problem is, when bringing down the network my script does not execute - or if it does, the network is coming down while the script executes (and thus I can't ssh out). I...
I'm trying to create some really cool synergy between my computer and my Android phone. Essentially, the two should always be aware if one is on the same network as the other, regardless of what...
Ooh, this could be good! Will read and get back to you.
no dice :( thanks for the help, though.
Oops ^______^ I've been working on scripting for Android way too much, and in there it's #!/system/bin/sh. Getting myself confused.
Anyhow, it now creates autodisper_on_wake.txt, but still doesn't...
Perfect :) thanks again for the help!!
Hi all,
I'm running a Thinkpad W510 with Ubuntu 11.04 x64. Since I'm using the nvidia driver, my computer won't automagically switch display types when I'm docked/undocked/using an external...
thanks for this, works out perfectly now.
I just ssh'd via my phone. Works okay. Thanks very much!
Next issue, then: if I can't access the server using the DynDNS when I'm on the same network, how does this affect my ability to use svn...
Hi all -
I put Ubuntu Server 11.04 on an old computer and put it on my network; I want to get dynamic DNS working to be able to ssh into that server as well as set up Subversion on it.
I...
Yeah, that's exactly right. Although I didn't encounter this until I installed Natty; full-screen flash worked just fine when using Maverick.
Wow - night and day difference. I wonder how this made Flash in Chrome so much better, since Chrome uses a built-in Flash?
Anyhow - thanks for the help!!
Hi all -
When I try to play Flash videos in full screen, sometimes - but not all the time, which makes this bug so aggravating! - the video gets very, VERY choppy, and UI controls do not really...
has this helped?
Unfortunately no. I ended up switching back to the nVidia drivers.
right - which it shouldn't be with flash 10.2 now.
doesn't look like it, which is frustrating. :/
Still an issue with Maverick. Lame..
no other ideas? :( i'm surprised there isn't more on the subject. maybe it's not available for x64..?
