Sorry for the late reply, I don't think my BIOS checks for a keyboard on startup, I do know of some that do.
I turned on my computer this morning and found that all I saw was the bios splash screen. The BIOS had hung, there where no boot options displayed (normaly it says "F9 Boot Menu F10 Setup" etc).
