Ive just downloaded it,
will let you know how I go with it...MythBunutu takes a whole lot of setting up....hopefully MCE will be more user friendly.
I remember a similar problem, so I used the text install option. Seemed to work once It was loaded. I hope you can work it out.

all I had to do was disable wins server...I set it up just like the xp machines....but I should not on enabled WINS sever.

I was able to get picture going by installing what looks like a driver designed for OLDER ati cards Via "Envy". Although I got picture going, the resulting performance dropped...

I was wondering if others out there might be or had trouble with a Readon 9200SE graphics card in relation to video trouble. I get sound but no pic after installing Gstreamer and other codecs????
I got samba up and running and even have auto mount working via NTFS conf tools...
However I have one windows vista machine that refuses to see Ubuntu unlike all the other XP coms...
I can notice the difference on both my laptop and Desktop!!!!
Finds that the sound is very soft compared to windows as well!!!!
Not impressed...It's probably another one of yet another essential we all have to spend hours fixing :)

Somehow they were set to active partitions...anyways onto my next problem!

I'm not quite sure what you mean by ntfs-3g...The whole reason I made this post was because Ubuntu cannot mount the drives in desktop mode. The partition table is most likely unreadable for some...
Could it be to do with the Disk Identifier??????????

I am use to Bios not detecting it, however after a WINDOWS Install it is usually detected... device is ready to use.
