    Re: Cifs freezes after suspend

Anyone has any suggestion how to debug this? It's really annoying and the only notable problem with Ubuntu Desktop.

    I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 Desktop 64bit.

    Cifs freezes after suspend

I have a Windows share mounted through /etc/fstab:

[ubuntu] Re: Missing Superblocks on mdadm Raid5

Yes, it's been taking fsck already a couple of hours doing the job.

Do you think this might be a sign that I assembled the array with the drives in a wrong order? Is there a way to figure out the...

[ubuntu] Re: Missing Superblocks on mdadm Raid5

I wouldn't run raid5 from 1 disk. This is only a "Save the data procedure". I don't want to test Data Recovery on original data disks (not to mess things up even further).

[ubuntu] Re: Missing Superblocks on mdadm Raid5

Wow rubylaser. Thanks. This definitely helped. After checking my old "mdadm --detail /dev/md3" it was indeed "metadata version 0.9" and "chunk size 64K".

    I assembled as you said:

    mdadm --create...

[ubuntu] Re: Missing Superblocks on mdadm Raid5

I have no idea about the metadata version. How do I check that? When I created the array I was using Ubuntu 8.04 (I guess) so quite a long time ago (year 2008).

And I'm 90% sure about the disk...

[ubuntu] Missing Superblocks on mdadm Raid5

  9. [ubuntu] Re: Wrong file ownerships after moving HDD to another computer

This second drive contains Apache www-data and is mounted to /var/www. Apache is configured to use mpm-itk which forces separate UID:GID for each user. So there are quite some users/groups.

  10. [ubuntu] Re: Wrong file ownerships after moving HDD to another computer

Unfortunately the Comp1 is a server that must always stay online. Comp2 will be it's backup in case of Comp1 failure. That's why I need to move all those files (and hdd).

    Change UIDs and GIDs...
