The WDC disk util wouldn't detect the disk if it was in the NAS or via SATA/USB
Any other ideas ?
Still not got anywhere with this..

I've run a couple of Raid scanning apps and they are showing my data, so there is some hope.

Yesterday my Western Digital My World Book White Light NAS Drive stopped working.
This has a single 1TB Disk.
At first I started getting the following error:
Volume Status - Volume...
Running Test Disk
Shows this for the drive:

Analyse cylinder 402/121600: 00%

Thanks for the advice.
Reading some of the threads linked, It appears I should create 3 primary partitions.
Install XP, remove the boot flag,
Install 7
Install Ubuntu
And hopefully I should...
7 has created 2 partitions.
One is around 100mb, the other is using the rest of the disk.
Would I be better factory restoring XP, then 7, then ubuntu ?

My parents have an Epson DX4400 printer / scanner. I'm looking to install Ubuntu 10.10 on to their old PC.
I've tried the LiveCD and it's picked up all their hardware including the printer....
